This is a pretty neat find. This book, Common Prayer Hymns, is just a different title of the Church of England’s Book of Common Prayer. And like the Gideon Bible’s of today being found in hotels the world over, this version of the book was given away by the big-time British shipping company – The White Star Line. And if the name sounds familiar, it’s probably because you’ve heard of one of their ships, the Titanic.
What are your thoughts or feelings on the inscription? Please take a moment and let us know in the comments below.
Also, if you have found some inscriptions of your own, by all means, I encourage you to click here and share them with us! I’d really like to build up a collection of them with your help!
Thanks!
