Published in 1977, this book is a collection of photographs of fifty of the world’s most interesting men who talk with world-famous photographer Scavullo about their careers, hopes, dreams, etc. Whoever Pat is (in my mind’s eye, she’s an aunt), you gotta see her inscription. One of the older inscribed books we found, from 1918. With a inscription offering a “full measure of the season’s cheer and happiness,” this 1920 Christmas gift seems rather uplifting.

Got to see and hear her some years ago at a benefit, but didn’t know that she was raised a South Carolina debutante, before doing the unheard of, picking up an electric guitar and becoming a little rock and roller. I’ve been meaning to pick up They Came to Nashville.
